    Running the Recorder & Player Local Installation for the First Time

    Although Panaya always recommends using our Online Recorder & Player, certain circumstances may require its Local Installation version.

    Follow these instructions when working with the Panaya Local Installation Recorder & Player - 

    1. Chrome will display a downloaded file at the bottom:
    2.  Open this file.
    3.  MS Edge will show this file in the downloads tab, but if you don't see it, check your downloads folder for it:

    4.  Click on Open file

      You may be asked - How do you want to open this file?
      If this message appears, select the Panaya Test Player and set it to Always use this app to open .TestPlayerLaunch

       

    Is the file opening with another application?
    Are you unable to see the "How do you want to open this file" dialog box?
    Follow the instructions below to fix the issue.

    1. Navigate to your Downloads folder, and locate the launch (x).TestPlayerLaunch file
    2. Right-click on the file and select Open with
    3. Select More apps to expand, then select the Panaya Test Player
      To avoid this issue again, check the Always use this app to open option

      Cannot see the Panaya Test Player in the list of applications?

    Select Look for another app on this PC and navigate to the folder where the Testing Tool is installed and execute the Player.exe file.


    Typically, it will be located under the default location - C:\Program Files (86)\Panaya inc\Panaya Test Player\Player.exe like shown below:
