SAP GUI Recording Limitations and Workarounds

Possible Solution

For some Custom and Standard transactions, Microsoft Windows dialog boxes, such as file explorer, do not launch when using the Panaya Testing Tool for test or script recording.

If you need to "Browse for file" from the transaction screen - try to type or paste the file path manually into the dialog box, and be sure also to enter the exact file name and extension.
Note that file name and file path are shown in two different fields.

The PDF should be attached to the appropriate step or use the screenshot functionality to take a screenshot

Activities performed within a search/help dialog box (F4) are not captured

Alternatively, use the Manual Step option / Manual Instruction in the recorder 

When selecting all the rows in a grid (F4), the activities performed within a search/help dialog box are not captured.

You can either use the Manual Step option / Manual Instruction in the Panaya recorder.
 Alternatively, select each row individually when recording.

If you need to capture and document Drag and Drop activities when using Run & Document, Quick Run or when Recording a Quick Testscript, please use the Copy and Paste options instead.
