This guide walks you through preparing your SAP system for a successful S/4HANA conversion using Panaya S/4Convert.
If you're upgrading (not converting) using Panaya S/4Accelerate, please use this guide instead.
🔧 Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have:
SAP access with permissions to run and create ABAP programs, jobs, or
SAP_ALLlevel accessPanaya login credentials
A modern browser (Chrome 15+ or Edge Edge)
Enough SAP system memory (If required please run SE38 >
rsmemoryand set:abap/heap_area_dia&abap/heap_area_nondia= 8GBabap/heap_area_total= 16GB
📌 Step A: Check Implemented SAP Notes
The SI check should run on
PRD or a PRD copy (must include usage stats)
SAP Requirement: ERP 6.0 or higher
More on Simplification Item Check
Check if the following Notes are installed (Relevant only for SI, not relevant for extract without SI):
📌 Step B: Run the SI Check

Download the Simplification Item Catalog ZIP file
In SE38, run
/SDF/RC_START_CHECKUpload the ZIP file and select your S/4HANA target version
Execute the check (F8)

If it’s too slow, read this
📌 Step C: Prep the ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC)
ATC runs on a Central Check System (SAP NetWeaver 7.52 and on)
Follow these steps:

Apply the check variant
In the Central System, run transaction
ATCto configure and run remote checks

Required for HANA migration readiness.
SCI must include:
ZPANAYA_FUNCTIONAL_DB_ADDITION→ variantFUNCTIONAL_DB_ADDITIONZPANAYA_Performance_DB→ variantPerformance_DB

SCI Mode: Choose Option A or read options
📦 Final Step: Upload to Panaya
Locate the extraction XML file
Compress it using Gzip (not RAR)
Do not use SAP transactions (e.g., AL11, CG3Z) to move the file
