When a user tags you with @ in a Comment on a Requirement, Test, Defect, Feature or Correction activity, you get an email. The mention also appears in the Notification Bell in Panaya.

This article explains what the Notification Bell shows, when a mention is removed from it, and why the bell notification count may not match your email notification.
Important!
1) The Notification Bell shows unread mentions only. It doesn't keep a notification history. Once a mention counts as seen, it's removed from the bell for good. There's no read/unread status, and you can't go back to mentions that were cleared.
2) You only get a Notification Bell entry for activities you're subscribed to. If you aren't subscribed, being mentioned doesn't create an entry in the bell.
The Notification Bell lists the activities where you were mentioned. It doesn't show how many times you were mentioned.
If you were mentioned several times on the same activity, the bell may show only one entry for it.
Email notifications are sent for each comment. Therefore, you may get more emails than you see entries in the bell.
Good to Know!
Adding a comment to an activity subscribes you to it automatically.
To get notifications for an activity you haven't commented on, Subscribe to it.
The Notification Bell refreshes on its own every few minutes.
Refreshing pauses while the Panaya browser tab is in the background. So, your notifications may be out of date for a short time.
Reload the page to refresh the Notification Bell right away.
