Manual Test Steps or Quick Test Planned Runs

For Manual Test Steps or Quick Test Planned Runs to be Ready to Test, all of the below should apply - 

  • The test is In Scope

  • For Regulated Cycles - The test has been Reviewed and signed

  • Cycle is launched (Execution stage)

  • No Open Defects are associated with this Step 

  • No influencing System-Wide Defects (all linked indirect defects have to be closed, linked direct defects have to be resolved)

  • No Correction Influence

  • For steps only - The previous applicable step (≠ N/A) has been passed

  • If its status is not "N/A"

  • If its status is not "Passed"

  • A step is ready to test if the previous step failed, and all defects are closed

For Automated Tests Planned Runs to be ready to test, all of the below should apply - 

Recommended Unit Test Steps

For Recommended Unit Test Steps, all of the below should apply - 

  • The associated Correction activities should be Closed or set to Out of Scope

  • The Correction Influence for the Cycle is set to No Influence

Can't find the Ready to Test indication?

The reason could be one or more of the following - 

  • The cycle stage was set to Completed 

  • The test was set to Out of Scope

  • Step status is N/A or Passed
