# Component Search Options

1. **Searching for components to see their impact**  
This search is based on Component Name and/or API Name.  
Use this option to search for a **picklist-specific value** or a **profile ID or name**. The results provide **accurate references** of these components, **even if they are referenced implicitly**.

2. [Searching for a **text** in your Org](/v1/docs/searching-for-a-textstring-within-your-salesforce-org) -  
A ‘free text’ search within the components themselves, including its **Description**, **Error Message**, etc., where applicable.
