Try the suggested solutions below if you encounter this message when trying to record or play test activities with Panaya. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/f404076c-de23-4609-848e-2dfd4ef701b0/Images/Documentation/image-1638971444218.png)

**Before you continue -** Validate Prerequisites with the Basis Team

1. Ensure that all [prerequisites for Panaya Testing](/v1/docs/how-to-install-the-panaya-recorder-player-for-sap) are met
2. Verify all [required authorizations](/v1/docs/authorizations-required-for-running-panaya-recorder-player) apply
3. [Make sure that your IT admin successfully installed the Panaya Recorder & Player](/v1/docs/how-to-verify-that-the-recorder-player-setup-was-successful-server-side)

## **Solution 1 - SAP Client Settings**

1. Follow the [instructions to define your SAP Client settings to work with Panaya Testing](/v1/docs/how-to-define-your-sap-client-settings-to-work-with-panaya)
2. Check to see if the problem persists

## **Solution 2 - Run as Administrator**

1. Try to [launch your browser as administrator](/v1/docs/how-to-launch-your-browser-as-administrator) and do the same for SAP Logon.
2. Check to see if the problem persists
3. If the issue remains, when the recorder and SAPGUI are launched, verify that the "Elevated" mode for each of the below processes in Task manager details is showing either NO or YES, they **must**be the same:

If you don't see the Elevated column, right click on any of the column headers, for example, on CPU, and then click on Select columns

## **Solution 3 - SAP System**

Please verify that [Panaya is installed](/v1/docs/how-to-install-the-panaya-recorder-player-for-sap) on the relevant SAP system.

## **Solution 4 - Citrix Connection or VPN connectivity**

If you are using a Citrix or VPN connection, please be advised that both the SAP and the Panaya sessions should only be run from the same machine or the same remote connection. Please contact the IT team within your organization and verify that both SAP and PANAYA are enabled on the same remote connection.

## **Solution 5 - Verify Recording and Playback on SAP GUI**

Verify recording and playback is enabled and working in SAP GUI. [Click here to learn how](/v1/docs/how-to-verify-recording-and-playback-is-enabled-and-working-in-sap-gui).

**No SAP permissions?** Please contact your SAP Basis administrator for assistance
