# Ready to Test Rules for Automated Tests Planned Runs

For Automated Tests, Planned Runs to be ready to test, all of the below should apply -

- The test is **In Scope.**
- For [**Regulated** Cycles](/v1/docs/how-to-set-a-cycle-as-regulated) - The test has been [**Reviewed and signed**](/v1/docs/how-to-e-sign-tests)**.**
- [Cycle is **launched**](/v1/docs/how-to-launch-a-cycle) (Execution stage)
- **No Open Defects** are associated with this Planned Run.
- No influencing [**System-Wide Defects**](/v1/docs/what-are-system-wide-defects)****(all linked **indirect defects** have to be **closed**, linked**direct defects** have to be **resolved**)
- **The**[**Automation State**](/v1/docs/automated-test-details-tabs) is **Ready**.
- ScriptBuilder script exists in the script tab

> **Cannot find the Ready to Test indication?**
> 
> The reason could be one or more of the following -
> 
> - The **cycle stage**was set to [**Completed.**](/v1/docs/how-to-mark-a-cycle-as-completed)
> - The test was set to **Out of Scope.**
> - Step status is [**N/A**](/v1/docs/how-to-define-a-step-as-not-applicable) or **Passed.**
