# ScriptBuilder Prerequisites

The ScriptBuilder must be set up on a machine with the following -

- Operating System - Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit system. macOS is not supported, instead, use a Windows virtual machine with the prerequisites listed here.
- Operating system administrator permissions
- [DevTools enabled](/v1/docs/devtools-disabled-by-policy) (through Windows Group Policy).
- CPU - at least dual-core, 2.0 GHz or higher. Pentium or Celeron processors are not supported.
- RAM - 4GB minimum, 8GB recommended.
- Network - a powerful network connection for effective test run executions.
- ScriptBuilder can be installed on virtual machines like Amazon EC2, Azure Virtual Machines, VMware VMs, etc.
- ScriptBuilder can be installed on a [Terminal Server/RDS and Citrix](/v1/docs/test-automation-remote-multi-user-setup).

However, ScriptBuilder is currently not supported for Azure Virtual Desktop AVD and Amazon Workspaces. We’re continuously working to expand our support for additional environments.

> Important!
> 
> Panaya’s ScriptBuilder cannot be used simultaneously with the Run & Document, Quick Test Recorder and Player.

## **Application Under Test**

ScriptBuilder supports automation for -

- Any web-based application (supported browsers are Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome).
- SAP WinGUI (desktop client). SAP GUI for Windows: Release 8.0 and later.

> - To be able to install and use the Script Builder, at least [one automation user](/v1/docs/test-automation-users) must be defined for your Panaya account.
