# Mass Editing Defects

To mass-edit defects, use the **Edit button** in the Defects list.

**Note**

- You will need the Mass Edit [permission](/v1/docs/how-to-allowdeny-user-permissions) to update several activities together.

1. Select **defects** from the list
2. Click on the **Edit** button

3. In the dialog box that appears, select the fields that you would like to change and set the value

4. When done, click **Update Entities**

Good to Know!

- When you select all tests, all tests on the currently displayed page will be selected.
- The selection made when switching between pages is not retained.
