# SAP GUI Recording and Playback Verification

SAP GUI Recording and Playback options are required for Panaya Testing. **To verify recording and playback is enabled -**

1. Open up your **SAP GUI**
2. Select the **Customize Local Layout (alt+F12)**menu option ![](https://cdn.document360.io/f404076c-de23-4609-848e-2dfd4ef701b0/Images/Documentation/image-1638972506402.png) and then **Script Recording and Playback**

If the **Script Recording and Playback** option is **disabled**, please get in touch with your SAP Administrator to enable it.

4. Perform an action in SAP, such as utilizing a transaction
5. Select **Stop**

6. Click on **Play.**
7. In the dialog box that appears, check to see that a recent VBScript file was created.
8. Select the script file that was created and click Open. Then, you can verify that the actions you performed are played back.
