# Manual Test Recorder Setup for Web Applications

**Prerequisites**

1. Panaya username and password with the [Test Execute Permission](/v1/docs/how-to-allowdeny-user-permissions)
2. .NET Framework, [version 4.6.2](https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net462) or above

3. [Panaya was added Trusted site](/v1/docs/how-to-add-panaya-to-your-trusted-sites)
4. [Browser pop-ups are enabled](/v1/docs/unable-to-download-evidence-of-an-individual-test)
5. Panaya is [white-listed, and security settings are not blocking the Panaya recorder & player](/v1/docs/please-contact-the-application-vendor-for-assistance-error-message)
6. [Click-Once cache clean-up](/v1/docs/how-to-delete-the-click-once-cache-folder) is required for returning users who have used Panaya before
7. The minimum supported [Display resolution](https://success.panaya.com/docs/what-is-the-recommended-resolution-when-working-with-panaya) is 1366×768
8. The Display Scale setting should be set to 100%

**Are you using MS Edge?** [An installation of an extension is required](/v1/docs/setting-up-microsoft-edge-to-work-with-the-panaya-recorder-player) to use MS-Edge with Panaya.

To **Install**the **Panaya Testing Tool** for Web applications -

1. [**Log in** to Panaya](/v1/docs/how-to-log-in-to-panaya)
2. Use the **Menu button![](https://cdn.document360.io/f404076c-de23-4609-848e-2dfd4ef701b0/Images/Documentation/image-1640181067272.png)**to select a **Project**
3. Select the******Tests tab**and open a test activity. You can view tests in a [**list**](/v1/docs/tests-list) or [**tree**](/v1/docs/tree-view)view.
4. Select the **Steps****tab**and click on the**Run & Document button**.  
For first-time users, the **Panaya Testing Tool** installation will begin.

5. If a **Security Warning** appears, approve it by clicking **Run**

6. The Panaya Testing Tool will then load. Click **Start Recording**to continue with the installation.

**Microsft Teams Limitations**

Our Web Recorder does not record **MS****Teams session**actions but can include a Teams pop-up if it is opened on the browser. To ensure optimal recording, we advise against opening Teams directly over the browser during the recording process.
