# Deleting Defects

1. **Open a defect**
2. Click on **Actions**and then **Delete**

**Good to Know!**

- You will need the Delete Defects permission to delete defects permanently.
- You may consider [Resolving the Defect](/v1/docs/how-to-resolve-a-defect) and defining the resolved reason as **Not a Bug**, **Cannot Reproduce,** or **Won't Fix.**
