# Deleting Custom Fields

This article explains how to **delete** previously defined **c****ustom fields**.

Important!

The deletion of custom fields and values cannot be restored. Alternatively, you can [disconnect a Custom Field](/v1/docs/how-to-disconnect-a-custom-field-from-a-project) from a specific project, so it will not appear in the project activities.

To **delete a Custom Field -**

1. Click on the **Settings![](https://cdn.document360.io/f404076c-de23-4609-848e-2dfd4ef701b0/Images/Documentation/image-1639048808434.png)** button to open up the Setting panel, then select **Configuration**
2. Select to **View & Manage Fields & Tabs Customization ![](https://cdn.document360.io/f404076c-de23-4609-848e-2dfd4ef701b0/Images/Documentation/image-1639048825030.png)**
3. Select to view Custom Fields **By Entity ![](https://cdn.document360.io/f404076c-de23-4609-848e-2dfd4ef701b0/Images/Documentation/image-1639048839664.png)**
4. Expand the activity type and **Highlight** the Custom Field that you wish to delete, then click the **Delete** button.

5. Click **OK** to confirm and delete the custom field.
