# Assigning Defects to Releases

To assign **Defects** to **Releases**, use the [Edit button when mass editing](/v1/docs/how-to-update-several-corrections-or-defects-together)

1. Select the **Defects tab** in your project
2. **Select one or more** defect and click on the **Assign** button to select the assignee, then click **Assign**.

**Cannot see the Release in the Defects list?** Use the [Select Columns](/v1/docs/how-to-add-fields-to-the-defect-list) button to add the **Release** Field
