# Assigning Defects to Owners

**From within a Project -**

1. Select the **Defects tab**  
To view your [assigned](/v1/docs/how-can-i-view-activities-that-are-assigned-to-me) Defects, click on the number within the tab.

2. Click on the Defect ID or Subject to open up the Defect details.
3. Select the**General tab**

4. In the Ownership section, use the drop-down list to****assign users as a **Dev owner** and **Testing owner**.

5. **Save**the Defect
