# Adding Development Items

You can add Requirements \ Features \ User Stories\ Analyses \ Tasks \ Defects, \ Workstreams one by one, as described below. Alternatively, you can use the [**development items import options.**](/v1/docs/how-to-import-development-activities) To import defects, follow the instructions in [this article.](/v1/docs/how-to-import-defects)

**Got Release Dynamix?** You can also create new Requirements via the [Release Dynamix **Portfolio**](/v1/docs/my-release-dynamix-portfolio)

1. Select the **Development \ Requirements \ Workspace** tab in your project.

3. Type in the **Subject******and **Description**for the new Requirement (mandatory) and all other metadata as shown below.![](https://cdn.document360.io/f404076c-de23-4609-848e-2dfd4ef701b0/Images/Documentation/image-1673426083825.png)
4. Click **Save**

Newly created activities will default to [**Backlog Status**](/v1/docs/what-does-the-requirement-status-mean).
