# Download & Install Automation Agent

**To install the Panaya Automation Agent -**

1. Click on****the **Settings**button![](https://cdn.document360.io/f404076c-de23-4609-848e-2dfd4ef701b0/Images/Documentation/image-59S93EUB.png) .
2. **Download**the Agent installer and save the file locally.

3. **Run the installation file**. The installation requires administrative permissions. Once complete, [define the agent settings](/v1/docs/automation-agent-settings).

> Using Chrome as the AUT browser?
> 
> Starting Chrome version 137 and up, the installation of [‘Panaya ScriptBuilder Extension for Test Automation’](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/panaya-test-automation/bhbpajbdlmemfiimcpbemelcoijoiikb) is mandatory.
