# Creating Automated Tests

To create an automated test -

1. Hover over the Tests tab and select the Test Tree.

2. Use the Test Tree on the left-hand side of the screen to**select where in the**[**Tree**](https://portal.document360.io/v1/docs/tree-view) hierarchy you wish to create the new test. **Right-click** on a [**Cycle**](https://portal.document360.io/v1/docs/how-to-create-a-new-test-cycle), [**Folder**](https://portal.document360.io/v1/docs/what-are-panaya-folders)**,**or [**Business Process**](https://portal.document360.io/v1/docs/what-are-panaya-business-processes)****and select **Add** > **Automated Test.** ![](https://cdn.document360.io/f404076c-de23-4609-848e-2dfd4ef701b0/Images/Documentation/image-4Z0C0C8S.png)
3. Continue to fill in the relevant [test details and fields](/v1/docs/automated-test-details-tabs).
