Setting up Google Chrome to work with the Panaya Testing Tool

In order to setup the Panaya Testing Tool to work with Google Chrome, the installation of two extensions is required. 



Extension 1 - Google Chrome ClickOnce Launcher

  1. Download and Install the Google Chrome ClickOnce Extension
  2. If you are using Chrome Version 72 or higher and having issues downloading the extension:
    • In Chrome browser go to: chrome://flags 
    • Search for Enable Network Service 
    • Set to Disabled 
    • Restart Chrome
    • Download the Extension again - after completing the installation you can revert the setting back to Enabled
  3. Click on ADD TO CHROME
  4. Click on Add Extension
  5. Follow the instructions on screen to download and execute the ClickOnceForGoogleChome.exe file
  6. Run the downloaded ClickOnceForGoogleChome.exe file, then click Run 
  7. The following confirmation message should apper


Extension 2 - Chrome Web Recorder Launcher 

  1. From within Google Chrome, add the Panaya Recorder for Web Applications extension to Google Chrome
  2. Click on the link to download and run the PanayaWebRecorderChromeInstallation.exe file
  3. Restart Google Chrome

Verify Both Extensions are Installed

  1. In Google Chrome, click on  
  2. Select More tools and then Extensions
  3. Both extensions should appear as active
  4. Open your Windows Control Panel, select Programs and Features.
    Verify that the Panaya Web Recorder for Chrome is installed

You can download it from Settings  > Configuration > Chrome Web Recorder Extension Launcher > Download EXE
