How to install the Panaya Testing Tool?

This article is for Panaya users.

Before starting the installation process, make sure that you have the following privileges:
  1. All Oracle Testing users require administrative privileges on their devices | Read more
  2. Supported JREs - US / EMEA
  3. Access to the relevant Oracle system
  4. Panaya username and password with the Test Run Edit & Execute Permission
  5. .NET Framework, version 4.6.2 and above
  6. At least 100MB available in the Windows temp files directory
  7. Java version 1.6 and above

The Panaya Testing Tool supports Internet Explorer browsers only
In some environments, due to Java security configurations,  it will be required to launch IE as an adminstrator 


To Install the Panaya Testing Tool for Oracle:

  1. Log in to Panaya
  2. Click on the Menu button and select the relevant Project
  3. Hover over the Tests tab and select Tests List
  4. Select any Test from the list
  5. In the test activity details, select the Steps tab
  6. Click on Run & Document the run the test
    The Panaya Testing Tool will then load.
  7. If a Security Warning appears, approve it by clicking Run
  8. The Panaya Test Tool will then load. Click Record to continue with the installation.
  9. You will then be prompted to allow administration privileges, so click OK to allow. Read more.
  10. Follow the instructions and check Yes if the workflow opened successfully. Click Continue
  11. Click Continue again.
  12. Panaya will initiate the installation of all required components. Click Install.
  13. You will then be requested to open Internet Explorer.
  14. Next, you will be notified whether the installation was successful.
  15. Follow the instructions and check Yes if the workflow opened successfully. Click Continue
  16. The installation is now completed.
  17. Go back to the test you wish to execute and click on the  to Run & Document the test.
Using Google Chrome?
Installation of two extensions is required in order to use Google Chrome with Panaya.
