How to install the Panaya Offline Testing Tool?

Why do I need to use the Panaya Offline Testing Tool?

  • Your organization does not allow users to download the Panaya Online Testing Tool
  • You are using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox but you are not permitted to download a ClickOnce extension or addon
  • *.panaya.com was added to your whitelist/exeptions page but security settings are preventing the Online Testing Tool from working properly
  • Your Citrix environment is preventing the Online Testing Tool from working properly
  • Your Citrix environment is being used by multiple Panaya users, requiring to repeatedly clear the Click-Once Cache folder
  • You are using Panaya Testing with HPQC with a Windows 2012 R2 Connector machine

What are the downsides of using the Panaya Offline Testing Tool?

  • The tool will not be automatically updated

How to install the Panaya Offline Testing Tool?
If you wish to use the offline tool, please contact Panaya Support or your Panaya Technical Account Manager.

  1. Once the offline tool feature is enabled you will be able to download it under Setup > Configuration
  2. Select Installer for the Test Player
  3. The PanayaTestPlayerSetup.msi installation file will be downloaded locally
  4. Run the PanayaTestPlayerSetup.msi file and follow the installation wizard. 

Note

  • The msi file can be deployed to all users by your IT administrator
  • Once deployed, the tool will not be automatically updated for all users. We recommend downloading and deploying the newest version once a month.
